For nearly 25 years, the CEC has been dedicated to improving the quality of education among its member institutions. The consortium is a unique, solution-based collaborative with the participating schools, colleges and universities working together unselfishly for the benefit of their students.

The consortium is composed of the six public educational entities in Cobb County, Georgia: Chattahoochee Technical College, Cobb County School District, Georgia Highlands College, Kennesaw State University, Marietta City Schools and Southern Polytechnic State University. These CEC members enroll over 140,000 students from throughout their service areas.

On February 10, the CEC will host its 22nd annual Education & Government Seminar at the state Capitol. Many legislators and educational leaders will address our leadership academy on the current issues that are relevant to them as educators in Cobb and the surrounding counties.

The CEC has several exciting and informative events planned for this spring. Leadership Academy members will take part in all of these activities, including leadership workshops, a debate, an all-day retreat, and an awards luncheon and seminar.
