For over a decade, the CEC has been dedicated to improving the quality of education among its member institutions. The consortium is a unique, solution-based collaborative with the participating schools, colleges and universities working together unselfishly for the benefit of their students.

The consortium is composed of the six public educational entities in Cobb County, Georgia: Chattahoochee Technical College, Cobb County School District, Kennesaw State University, Marietta City Schools, North Metro Technical College and Southern Polytechnic State University. These CEC members enroll over 140,000 students from throughout their service areas.

On January 22, the CEC hosted its 15th annual Education & Government Seminar at the Sloppy Floyd Building at the state capitol.  University System of Georgia Chancellor Erroll Davis, Jr., Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle, State Superintendent Kathy Cox, DTAE Commissioner Ron Jackson, and many other legislators and educational leaders attended and interacted with the leadership academies. 

The CEC has several exciting and informative events planned for this spring.  Leadership Academy members will take part in all of these activities, including leadership workshops, an all-day retreat, and an awards luncheon and seminar.
