New Leadership Academy Members

The new first-year Academy class is chosen by the respective CEOs, typically through a competitive process. The CEC staff provides many activities throughout the year to engage, educate, and network the diverse members.

The first-year events are a kick-off motivational reception, an extended retreat with leadership development speakers and activities, intensive school visits, important educational and leadership guided readings that are read and discussed, an educational-governmental seminar at the state capitol, workshops on topics such as ethics, character and professionalism, diversity, and other important issues.

Over 25 Years Training Cobb Leadership

Since 1993, nearly a thousand members have participated in the CEC's Leadership Academy.  During those years, these educators have taken leadership roles within their institutions, advancing from classroom teachers to administrators, principals, and even superintendents.  Click on each picture to see a listing of the members who participated during those years.
