Academy II will come together to reflect on their experiences with the CEC and to discuss the insights they have gained during their last two years with the Consortium.

Academy I will hear Dr. Lewis and her staff discuss ethical dilemmas in education and present tools to help members make the right decisions in tough situations.
Academy I will spend the afternoon working in their new committee groups to brainstorm the projects they will complete during their second year.
The entire CEC community will watch and celebrate as the second-year projects are presented, awards are given, and members are recognized for their achievements. Lunch will be served following the program.
Academy I members will interact directly with legislators and other government and education officials to discuss policies and agendas regarding education in the region.
Kim Bearden will lead a tour of the Academy, showcasing the programs and teaching methods used by the faculty who teach there.
The author of Talk to Me, Kim Bearden, will present her views on effective strategies for teaching this generation of students.
Academy I members will tour all of the different CEC institutions and learn about their different programs, student bodies, and missions.
The Leadership Academy’s annual retreat will be held at Camp Mikell in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Academy II will participate in a friendly debate over issues that are relevant to them as educators in Cobb County.
The Community Service Committee is offering a Lunch and Learn for parents to teach them about internet safety for their children.
We’re beginning the new year with a ‘Get Acquainted’ reception, held at the Jolley Lodge on the Kennesaw State University campus.
